I am headed down to Pepin for my annual spring fishing trip this weekend. Water gauge forecasts show the river rising. Does anyone have information on water temps and water clarity? Or links to where I could find this information?

    Thanks in advance

This link will give you a good idea of the lake temp. The water temps are going back down with the rain. cold air and wind.

While this link won’t help with water clarity I think with the rising water levels and all the rain that its not all that great right now and I have heard that there is some debris in the water…trees and logs. I can’t imagine the lake full of junk but higher water will most usually have some crap coming down with it.

Like Tom said, with rising water there’s always a good chance of “wood” coming down stream.

I noticed some coming out of the Trimbelle last weekend. Nothing large and nothing a person paying attention would need to worry about.

Clarity is less the optimal but there were some very nice weights that came out of the tourney on the lake last weekend.

Temp has dropped to around 47 degrees.

    Thanks for all the links!

Any tips on genral locations and presentations. We typically fish lower river and upper third of the lake. Is the water high enough to push most of the walleys up close to shore?
