Nabbed a few pigs this evening, caught 14 walleyes in all. jig/minnow or trolling a rapala.Didnt get much of a measurement as I wanted to get them back in the water but the bellies on the bigger fish made them look like they were ready to spawn again. All caught in the 4-8ft depth range.

Sounds a lot like my day on pool 2. A little windy at times but a great day to listen to the vikes and catch a few fish.

Wish I was getting back out this afternoon. These late season warm front with low ceilings and drizzle can bring on some good fishing. Winds look fantastic today to.

Thanks guys It was a fantastic few hours what sucks is this thing called work because they were still biting when I left at allmost 10p.m.I tend to lose all track of time when fishing so I was a bit slow to get moving this morning but Oh well.I got done with work early today and Im just about ready to hook up the boat for another round of fat fish and a little less sleep.Good luck if anyone else makes it out.

Caught more then I could count yesterday however no big ones like the previous day but I had fun.It was the first time in awhile the wind was actually calm(for awhile anyways)and it was quite peacefull, minus the dang beavers splashing all around the boat.I was still pulling out of water as shallow as 3ft and as deep as 13ft.I spose the beaver commotion affected the big ones biting or thats my excuse anyways.

Finally figuring out the hair jig. The secret, go to a good spot and chuck it out. Then hop it back. Got a 29 1/4″ over the weekend, and she’about ripped the rod right out my hands.

To all….can some one post what a hair jig looks like? I hear about them but don’t know what they look like and who carries them to buy. Thanks to all especially when I see people throwing back the big girls for someone else to catch. Good luck this fall

Nice fish Marty. Fun fishing those hair jigs. I think the hair flairs out a little while hopping them or moving them and that seems to trigger the whack. The white bass this time of year love them to.

Here are a couple I got earlier this week. Picked up 4 nice ones shore fishing while waiting for a boat ride. Went back to one of those shore spots with a boat later on and picked up a 28″. 1/8th Draggin jigs with moxies or pulsars seem to be working very well.

Good luck to you guys still getting out. It deer stand time for me for a while.

Nice fish.Went Friday after work got to fishing around 7:15 slow to begin with but it picked up as the evening wore on.Dragging jigs or stall trolling pretty much any stickbait.Trolling produced more fish 16-22″ didnt get any big ones but enough to keep a guy busy…Are most all of the boat landings o.k to use and park in late night??I see the 494 says no overnight and closes at 11p.m and i was told lilydale closes at 11p.m also but theres is no sign there saying so.
