Wonder if anybody has fishing the Wisconsin channel for walleyes or northern this time of year. Head to pool 4 on the 5th for my son’s birthday. Can you easily get into that channel without any concerns or is there sandbars that I should know about. Any advice is greatly appreciated

I ran up from 5th cut last Saturday on a low tank of fuel I’ll admit…

No problems (although I think the levels are starting to drop).
No EXPOSED sandbars…but you know they are there.

There were fishermen in the Bay City Flats area, near Goose Lake and in Goose. A few panfishermen sprinkled here and there.

We didn’t fish so I can’t help you out on that.

Fox The river is up 4an half feet above normal summer pool. There should be no problems running the Back Channel. …. rrr

and the fishing in the back channel only gets better the more flow is in there. Oops, that might be a secret.

    Thanks jerad for the secret.
This will be my first time ever on the pool so I was looking to get away from the crowds and just caught my kid a couple of fish.
I know from the Rainy River there is a website for monitoring flow and depth but can’t find one for Pool 4. Any help is greatly appreciated
