Pool 4 Water Temps and Fishing Report

Went out yesterday around 1 PM.. only saw one other boat out. Water Temps are 31.5 degrees, saw even colder temps closer to the dam.. a lot of ice chunks to watch out for, and the power plant is still down. As far as the bite, there really wasn’t one. Did manage to put a couple nice ones in the boat after dark, but man it was tough sledding.. and that was with zero pressure from other boats. The relentless wind didn’t exactly work in our favor either. Good luck this weekend.

31.5 and colder near the dam? How does that work.

    Thanks for the report though.

Brian – how does that work? Well you see the water temps in front of the dam were less than 31.5 degrees versus down river where I marked 31.5. Does that make sense? Thanks for your comment tho! applause

…The temp gages on sonar units are not the most accurate.! for example I have 2 temp gages in my boat an they are ALWAYS 5 or 6 Degrees apart. When I ask the boat next to me what it has for a temp it has a different temp than the both mine. SO wtf doah ??? crazy … rrr

Still no fishing reports? That must mean it’s really slow yet.

Not sure if people are being sarcastic or just don’t get it. Water can be below 32 and not freeze just like it can be liquid above 212.

I went out Sunday near the dam and the sonar was showing 34-35 degrees. Fishing was slow, you can get them all day in the deep hole as usual but really dont want to put the kill on those little guys so left a little earlier than expected.
