Fall is finally here and the water temps are on a steady downward swing. Everts Resort has had full cabins all week and each day the fishing report gets better and better. Some of the groups are just figuring out how to make them bite and some believe there are waves of new fish coming into the river each day.

This is the time of the year where whatever your favorite technique is will work. Lead core, hair jigs, live bait rigs etc are all producing fish. The only common them seems to be to find current seams in 18-22′ of water.

The water level was at about 8.5′ feet today and has been dropping about 6″s each day. This is shaping up to be a great fall bite.

See you all on the river.

Is it true that you are removing Sparky?
The place will never be the same.
    The kids always enjoyed Sparky!

As a side note Sparky was the name of my family dog growing up.

Is the bite still on? What color plastics are working? Any other tips would be much appreciated.

I’m new to the area. Went to Pepin last Friday and had no success. Planning on visiting Pool 4 Thanksgiving week.

    Thanks!! KV
