I was out last Saturday. It was slow for me. One sauger, one white bass and a Flathead.

out a few times this week. today was really rough with the wind. farm animals have moved in to my spots lately and on the search for new hotspots. the wind really foiled my plans of doing some pitching/dragging in bay city.

The wind isn’t letting up anytime soon. Everything for the weekend looks like 10-20mph which can really get things rolling out there.

We were out yesterday and had a fun day of rod bending. A few other species but for the most part Walleyes and Saugers. We trolled near the head of the lake in 8-10 feet of water. Firetiger jointed shad raps, fire mtiger shad raps, firetiger flicker shad, as long as it was firetiger it caught some fish. Good luck.

Fife, nice fish! Thanks for the report.

When is your first trip planned for Lake of the Woods?

A friend is planning on going next weekend for opener.

I’m still optimistic there will be tournaments. If not, the boat will still be in the water. I’ll probably head to Mille Lacs and Pool 4 over the next month. I’m thinking Lake of the Woods for the week of the 4th of July.

It’s nice to see the flow in the lower 30,000’s again and RW’s stage under 6′ (5.3′)….it make boating and fishing more enjoyable IMHO.
