Pool 4 – Seasonal Campsites

Looking for suggestions on where to find seasonal campsites on Pool 4 of the Mississippi River?

I know Everts (usually booked). But every time I fish I down there I see campers at small resorts. I’m struggling to find those online? I’m not looking for anything fancy, don’t even need electric. Just looking for somewhere to park my Ice Castle for the summer at a reasonable price.

    Any suggestions?

Island Campground will have open spots after the high water. At 11′ it starts to get hard to get in (and more importantly) out. If you do check them out, ask about the lot levels. I was boating to my camper last year at 12.5 which was two inches on my camper tires, but I would of had water in my pickup cab getting to it.

Here’s a list of what’s open. You’ll have to go to the map to see the location on the island. Good people there.

There’s a campsite in Bay City on the Bay City Flats, I don’t know much about it.

There’s one on Goose Lake as well, not too many sites. I haven’t talked to them either.

One option that might work out for you is Mr. Sippi. Good thing is they have a bar with pizza. Bad thing is they have a bar with pizza. LOL! It’s right across from the WI back channel ramp.
This might work out the best for you. I saw a tent there last fall for a month or so… Ask for Rat, the owner. (715) 792-2992

Thanks Brian! The Island Campground is the one I see often. I’ve used the Bay City launch years ago, I know there are campsites there, tough to find information.

We’ve camped at Hok-Si-La on Lake Pepin before, I don’t believe they have seasonal sites available.

I’ll see if I can find out more information on the campgrounds you’ve mentioned. Appreciate the help. If anyone else has any insight/info on campgrounds on pool 4, anywhere from the red wing damn down through Lake Pepin, please let me know.
