Pool 4 Saturday

Made it out Saturday with a couple clients/friends (I sell insurance). One of whom is new to MN from Michigan and hasn’t had much success on our state fish…until Saturday! Got fishing about 8 am until 5 and was really pleased with the bite. We caught about 30 fish on jigs and dark plastics. The weather couldn’t have been better! By the sounds of it we lucked out on the #s. Water temp was right around 40 degrees and all the big females went back to spawn.

We were out Saturday, too. Launched out of Everts. Not a single fish. Didn’t really see many others being caught, either. So you definitely did better than most guys I think. Sure was nice to be out, though.

And, wow…I’ve seen Everts busy before, but it was REALLY busy on Saturday! Went pretty well all things considering – launching and loading – but you definitely had to be paying attention.

Sorta wondering when Bay Point and Colville might open – that might help take some of the pressure off Everts. But I suppose might be a few days at least.

I heard Colville opened up but might be awhile on baypoint. We only talked to one other boat who had a similar day. I’d like to credit my guiding skills lol but think we lucked out. Throwing three different setups definitely helped narrow it down until we found what they wanted.
