Just checking if anyone has been out during the week this week? I heard it has been busy but not many reports, and I haven’t heard any good ones from the last couple days. Looking forward to getting out this weekend again!

One fella checked in at 9am to the resort. By 11 am he had 3 in the box using meat.
March 12, 2015 at 12:48 pm #1522543Thanks! I’m going regardless, but appreciate the info. And will stop in for some BS’ing. Is there a good place to grab lunch on the river by you guys BK?
March 12, 2015 at 1:18 pm #1522569Mr. Sippi has pizza.
Liberties delivers to river edge.
Harbor has a full menu.I just fixed the pizza oven at Everts as well (if you can stand looking at all those plastics while your eating.)

Hi Brian.
200+ boats. Who had the fish?dairycatPosts: 169March 12, 2015 at 7:22 pm #1522773I fished Mon.and Tues, did the best mid-day. Caught plenty of fish, through most/all back. All walleyes, mostly fat females. Could not find a sauger:( It was just nice being out, so did the other couple hundred people fishing on those two days:) Everyone was having fun, next time you guys see a tan/grey G3 with a 50hp yamaha tiller stop and say HI. BTW- I love Everts shuttle car! I was the third boat out Tuesday morning so I didn’t get a ride.

March 12, 2015 at 7:50 pm #1522779Fished Wednesday afternoon. No luck.
Lots of boats. Sure was great day to be out and fun stopping in at Everts again.
36 to 38 temp. Water was pretty clear.
knutsondl14Posts: 4March 12, 2015 at 9:46 pm #1522829Fished tonight till dark. Action appeared to be steady near the dam around 1pm then totally shut off. We caught our fish using plastics w/meat. Caught a respectable 22″ sauger, buddy caught a couple biggest was a 23″ female. Very slow, I think we jumped the gun this week but it was nice to be out nonetheless. Good luck to everyone going out this weekend!
nordPosts: 744hawkguyPosts: 76March 13, 2015 at 8:46 am #1522953I went out Wednesday night about 11:30 and fished till 3:30. Very slow. I only caught two walleye. 18″ and 21″. Both were caught on a Prescott Bait pumpkin seed color. I was vertical jigging in 18-20 fow. We tried dragging, but there was too much ice to try and maneuver around.
The water condition looked close to being right. It would be nice if it was a bit dirtier. I am not sure what the temp was as my fish finder doesn’t have that feature.
Although I was happy to get out I was also disappointed as I thought I could find the fish better than I did. Going to give it a whirl next week and hopefully do better.
March 13, 2015 at 9:17 am #1522973The fishing wasn’t good, but being able to ride in this shuttle more than made up for it!

March 13, 2015 at 11:14 am #1523049I never recommend fishing with minnows, but that’s what the majority of fish are coming in on during the day. Lindy Rigging a #4 spit shot (some are using a light egg sinker) with a couple of feet of leader and a plain ol light hook.
Drifting down stream.
Other presentations have been working, just not as well.
March 13, 2015 at 11:30 am #1523057Never fished Pool 4 before, fished a little down further on Pepin a couple times last year. Getting the itch to get out though, hopefully next weekend. Where is everybody launching out of right now? Evert’s? I’m hoping I can get some free time next weekend to go check it out!
