pool 4 report

Made it to Everts three times within the last two weeks and this is what I found..
Fish are there to be caught..using plastic..blades and bait..but the most importantly was to pick your poison and roll with it..
On Saturday I was commited to throw the blade bait all day..well I didn’t have to cause I boxed 6 in 2 and 1/2 hours.. I tryed hard not to get sucked into putting on lure after lure..
Caught fish just about every where..like I said picking something and sticking to it was key..
Its only going to get better..

Also had a blast hanging with I.d.o members and putting faces to names…

Great to hear you had a successful outing !

I tried My HARDEST to convince the doctor to be easy on me so I could join you guys… but as you can see by my lack of being there I lost that battle,now I can now only hope I am not out for the winter. MRI Tuesday will tell my near future !

Praying for a speedy recovery Jeff.. i was looking forward to hanging with ya..but your health is more important than a silly fish…

48 degrees. Gettin closer…

I was out saturday also, with the loud five year old. Had a blast, 12 fish in the boat, few nice saugers. Beautiful day.

Good to see you getting out Louis. I’m hoping to get down there some time later this week myself. I think my time on the lakes has drawn to a close and now its time to harass some river ‘eyes. Thanks for the report. How was the water clarity?

Sunday we had two lines out in the water. I was running big motor because the trolling motor batteries were dead.

Quarter ounce jigs and purple pulsars with a chartreuse tail dragging upstream was the ticket for us.

I could see the jig 8 inches under water.

Six fish for dinner.

Awesome day to be out clowning around on the river.

I was surprised to see so few boats out.

There were plenty out on Saturday. Was a bit breezy Sunday, so that might have kept some away.

Most guys were up by dam on Saturday, though I didn’t notice a ton of decent fish being caught there. Course hard to watch everyone.

I got bored on Saturday and tried catching some crappie and “accidentally” caught a nice walleye. Tiny hair jig and minnow.

Walleyeguy…yea looked and sounded like the little guy was having a blast..great to see and hear..
You where a couple boat links away as I watched him catch a nice sauger…awesome stuff man

I give up fall fishing to hunt but I sure am jealous when I read these reports and know my boat is stored until next year. Sounds great!

Good to get some reports !! Waiting for a good freeze , should really turn on then
