Hopefully I or someone can get some photos up today.

The last couple days reports of catch rates that P4 is known for have been coming into the bait shop. Luhmann’s River Service reported “well over 60 fish in 2.5 hours” yesterday.

One person I asked about the presentation said they were pitching with blades and plastics another guide said vertical with a jig and a fluke.

Either way, the fish cleaning house at Everts was busy last night with very few boats out.

If you haven’t been into Everts Bait Shop lately, pick up your jaw as you walk in the door!
    Amazing just doesn’t cut it!

Construction is going on to winterize the cabins that don’t normally have water in the winter as well.

And don’t forget the ramps fees have been reduced to $5.00 for clean and salted ramps!

*Please remember to drain your trailers before pulling them out. The next person to use them will appreciate it!

OH boy… I have an excuse to be that direction next Saturday for work… may have to leave a couple days early and catch that warm weather!!! And a fish or two.

Not knowing the normals… or even where to look as it has been 4-5 years, is the water coming down, and getting more normal?

Man, now you have me dreaming of getting back. I have bags of plastic not opened from years ago… and a dozen of Trumar’s hair jigs… not sure I should visit the bait shop.

The water is dropping, I would call it a high normal level.

I’m concerned about the boat landings, are they open?

There were a lot of boats struggling to catch fish yesterday, but the right color and presentation would put a few fish in the boat!

New to the site and enjoy reading the comments. I’ve re-taken up fishing this year and have spent nearly all of my time shore-fishing pool 2. Wondering if there is anyone willing to tip me off on any shore-fishing spots on Pool 4. Would like to spend some time out there this weekend if I can. Thanks in advance!

Whybaye Stiyoh getting the youngsters out on the hot bite.

Now is one of the best times to take out the young adults.
They’re biting “like sunfish” and that keeps the interest up!

Stop into the bait shop at Everts for current river bite and river conditions!

PS the $5 launch fee not only covers the launch access but also will give you the current presentation and colors to use.

Bill, shore fishing is tough on the upper end of P4 most of the time but it can be done.

Baypoint Park in Red Wing has a rock shore line and there’s a fishing pier just down stream of that.
From Everts Resort up stream it’s all private property or Federal property accessible by boat only.

If I’m forgetting someplace I’m sure someone here will correct me. )
