Has many people had much for luck here yet this spring? Was thinking of trying it out this coming weekend.

    Thanks

LOL! If the power plant controls the bite you are in luck…it’s running today.

Saturday (when the power plant wasn’t running) a fella that launched out of Everts caught three nice fish from this location.

    Just sayin…

Trust me I will. Just harder to get out with kids. I’ve caught plenty of big eyes but my time to get away is tougher. I wish I had time to sit on a couch!

Yesterday the bite seemed to have kicked in. I didn’t talk to one boat that didn’t have at least one limit. One young man and his dad pulled in a ton of fish keeping a one man limit in the 18″ range.

The water temp jumped a full degree from the 21st until to day. Whether it was the power plant or the warm air temps, I’ll let someone else figure out. the flow jumped from just over 9k cfps to 13k. Normal for the amount of snow melting.

With the air temps in the mid 50’s this weekend I’m sure I’ll see a bunch of friends on the river. wave

Check your boat registration and PFD’s. Warm weather brings out the LEO’s as well and we want them to have a boring time on the river with the fishermen. )

PS Don’t wait outside in the rig, stop into the Everts Bait shop. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

I was there from about 11am till a little after dark. Overall very slow for my boat. Spent about an hour in a couple of the community spots and didn’t see many caught. Ended up spending the majority of the day down stream. Ended up with about a dozen. 13 inch walleye, 16 inch sauger, and the rest in the 8 inch range.

    How did everyone else do?

Terrible bite yesterday for our boat. The night bite was non existent didn’t expect it to be so slow. Not many seen caught and the ones did see were very small. Not the usual.

Thank you for the reports. I stayed close to home this weekend and ice fished one last weekend. I figured the river is a little early yet. My boats ready for next weekend. Can’t wait to 3 way troll at alma.

Never seen people past the gates before. Why were the gates out?

How was the bite on 3? Looked like a lot of big ice chunks that I could see on my way home.

Got a few nice eaters yesterday but had to work for them. Had one on plastics and rest on blades. We pitched the shallow sand current breaks. 7 walleye total. One northern. Few rough fish. We only got two walleyes after dark

One reactor must be down. whistling

Actually the rollers were changed on Saturday morning and that always screws up the bite for a time.

Pretty much everyone on spoke with Sat and Sunday that were vertical had a tough time with small fish. The folks that were pitching caught larger fish and more walleyes.

Now that the inland season is closed in both State’s and the Freeze Your Butt tourney this weekend is going on, it’s going to be good to see all the ol’ river rats come out of their den.

I’ll be in the bait shop Saturday. Remember to tell me who you are. I have a great, short memory! toast

I mostly fished cats and did well. Ran 40 miles of river and broke down. Throttle cable broke. Repaired that Sunday morning and was back on water Sunday afternoon… It wasn’t very nice out in comparison to Saturday

I shook hands with you Saturday and forgot to mention the name.

My dad and I didn’t do very well either. One keeper eye, a small keeper sauger and a small channel cat. We had a few more shorts, but much time passed between bites. Didn’t see that much getting caught, either.

We did get to witness two large sturgeon and three large cats, but beyond that, slim. Great weather, though…
