Pool 4 3/20 – couple eyes and one big gator

    Took the day off work and headed out solo. Couldn’t convince any of my buddies to tag along. Fished mostly hair and minnows. Slow for me but ended up with 2 decent ones.

    Highlight of the day was hooking into a big beast. Thought it was a sturgeon or one of BKs cats at first but it kept making runs. Provided some entertainment for surrounding anglers. Fattest northern I’ve ever caught. Whew.

    A huge thanks to the nearby angler who took the photo for me.

    Fish safely released. Now I gotta figure out how to deslime the carpet!

    Oh. Forgot…about 42″. Was hard to get an accurate measurement. One more shot

    Damn nice fish. That had to be a blast on light tackle.

    Yeah. 6lb line. Got lucky on the hook set. Took quite awhile to get it to the boat.
