After debating going to pool 5 decided to go to everts and pool 4. Got on the water around 7am. Started fishing the sand flat and didn’t find anything. Rollers were down but the water was up and current was a bit strong. Moved to the wing dams and fishing between the 2nd a 3rd wing dam. Dubuque rig with minnow on the jig and 3.5 inch moxie and another rod just jig and a minnow.
Caught a bunch of dinks and a few nice fish also missed some fish and had a real nice walleye get off boatside. There was a crowd up stream from the 2nd wingdam and decided to go see what was going on. Missed some more fish, got some snags, and ran out of time so didnt catch anything. Saw a lot of fish caught.
Brought 3 home which is enough to make me a hero in my kids eyes. Had a nice little fish dinner with the family and overall a good ending to what is likely my 2016 season.
Saw fish caught today on 3 ways/minnow, dubuque rigs, moxies, blades, and jig and minnow. Bite wasn’t crazy but it was there.
