A bit nippy on the water today.
41 degree water temp. One ok eye up shallow.
And they dropped the rollers on the dam. Water is way up. And dirty.
Great.
Lots of debris in water. Be very careful if you venture out.
I was surprised to see the rollers up yesterday too. Saw some big logs floating down river. Little chilly, but was able to get 5 decent walleyes on ringworms off shallow rocks in the last hour of the day. The day bite was very tough. Only picked up 1 white bass and a little sauger. Should get better once the water stabilizes.
I should have stayed later. But got wet (long story) so bailed.
Any idea how long the rollers will be up?
Good to hear the water is up, that rain we got last week was impressive. Glad they’re pushing it down stream. Looking forward to getting out this week or next, hopefully it will have calmed down by then. Thanks for the report.
