Figured I’d start an updated thread, even if I don’t have much to report.
Fished Saturday (11/11). One nice eye, lost another right by boat. All on jig/minnow. So, slow overall for me. Buddy did try plastics with no luck – but others on here appear to be having better luck with plastics, so I’d definitely try if I was heading out again.
I’d bet at least 80 percent of the boats I saw were up tight to the dam (both Wisconsin and MN sides). Can’t say how well they were doing in the parking lot there, but it was by far the “top” spot to try in terms of number of boats it looked like.
Water temp was 36 degrees. Was a bit icy on the roads around Red Wing. Just a reminder to let your trailer drain out as much water as possible when pulling out on the ramp if it’s below freezing etc.
