I had 2 hours to fish this afternoon so I headed down to the Prescott landing and south from there. I had a couple of new blade baits I wanted to try out so that was the primary reason for the trip. Water temp was 36.5° with large ice chunks floating by. Not a lot of fish on the SI but When 2 of us boats found some it was lockjaw. Together we tried plastics, jig/minnow, blade baits and none of that worked. I saw fish by some of the wing dams but if I were to guess I would say they were crappies and not walleye/sauger. Same report for 3 boats. One guy said they had caught some small sauger and 17-18″ walleye a couple of days back when the water temp was warmer. Visibility must have been close to 3′.
