PSA, with the high water, the two green cans just south of Nauti Hogg just before and on the side Corp Island are just under water, so stay closer to WS.

Just one of the reports of Nav markers being just below the surface.

    It’s high water folks.

There are a couple near Wabasha that will be close. They’re out and barely visible, but any more water and they will be tough to see on plane.

I wouldn’t rely solely on GPS or mapping for their locations either. Those ones you see in the woods or washed up in strange places get there for a reason…generally at either ice out or times of high water with debris like we’re seeing now.

I tend to treat every swirl in high water as a hazard even though 98% of them are just that, a swirl.

Even in low or normal water, a buoy can get dragged from a barge or fallen tree into heavier current or deeper water and become a hazard.

Was a little easier to keep tabs on buoys when I basically lived on the water. Now, not so much grin

I have video of an ice sheet going over and submerging a buoy, and video of when that buoy sprung up through the moving ice sheet )
