Pool 2 cats and sturgeon

I’m looking to go out catfishing and sturgeon fishing soon on pool 2 on this stretch anyone fished this area before and had any luck? Anything would be appreciated! Thanks.

I was up in 2 Sunday. Fast Shallow main channels were full of channel cats..

Never fished it for cats or sturgeon before. Just be careful if you are fishing by marker 823, main channel is super narrow right there AND curved, keep an eye out for barges and get out of the way in that neck.

Only mention it because if you are fishing alone and anchored fishing for cats it might take a bit of time to move and those barges seem to come out of nowhere if you aren’t paying attention.

Pretty rare to catch a sturgeon on Pool 2. There are stragglers that get up here from the Croix or lower pools. But I’m not aware of a fishable population. Concentrate on the cats!
