Pool 2 – 494 Access

    Stopped by the 494 access this afternoon. The left hand ramp is broken up and lumpy, but at least 4 guys launched from there today. The right hand side is blocked by ice. There’s a lot of ice coming down river in big chunks. If nothing else it was really good to stand there and look at open water.

    I was out yesterday. Had ok numbers of saugers but nothing real big. Lots of floating ice. Great to get out. waytogo

    Sharon it’s low and very slow. Your Mother and I were watching the icebergs go by and it was slow motion. The river looked great!

    Got out on Sunday. Only managed one walleye but at least it was a nice one. Didn’t want the other boat out there to see it so she was hand landed and no picture.

    Anyone been by the ramp this week? Wondering if it’s still good to go for the weekend.
