I wish I would have had the phone turned the other way…nonetheless, there of course is no ice floating that I can see. I saw three boats fishing this afternoon. Plan on heading out this week.

Anybody been out? Seems there are a couple reports up by the dam and confluence and that is it…

I have been out three times this week.each day the water temp goes up a few degrees and is at 45f. Catching a few fish but nothing solid. The dam area was still froze out 100 years from the dam on Thursday.

I made my first trip Sunday morning. Jigging gulp in the 20ft range produced our fish. Fishing was slow but good to get the boat out and make sure everything was working good. And the first fish of the year was a walleye!

    Water temps was 41.

Sounds great to hear some fish being caught. I finally started to get the hang of fishing high/fast water the last couple of years…wondering with the little snow pack we have this year what the flows will be like…

For all the melt that we have had pool 2 levels are very low. Not sure if they will go up as things make their way down here but unless we start getting some rain I do not think you will see any high/fast water this year.

Water levels have changed very little in the last 2 weeks are are basically at the same level as what they were last August.

The FW and I sat by the 494 access and ate a Subway yesterday. I talked to a couple of guys coming off the river and the word was that it was pretty slow. The river is still down, not much flow and not much junk in the water. Lots of ice under the bridge along the shore.

    Open water sure looked good!

It has been slow, but darn nice out there. With a fathead on a 1/4oz jig at the confluence you’ll catch a few walleyes and maybe a tan. cool
