Polaris 500 VS 550

    I’m in the market looking at used Sportman’s. I own an early 2000’s with the 500. In looking at some 550 XP’s it seems that the engine are lauder than my old 500.

    Is it me or is the 550 louder with a rattle/tapping noise?

    I don’t have a whole lot of experience in this area so any insight would be helpful.
