So I installed a NEMA 2000 network with point one gps, hds 9 gen2 and hds 12 gen3. I can see the point one on the hds 9 gen2 and on the diagnostics screen it reads “bus on”. On the hds 12 gen3 the point one says it is invalid and when I go to the diagnostics screen it says “bus off”. I have metered the nema cable at both locations and power is not the issue. I then tried to swap locations with the hds9 and hds12 and the problem followed the hds12 and the hds9 worked as suppose to. From doing this I believe the nema 2000 backbone is working as it should. I think its a programming issue or a software issue with the hds12. Any info would be great.

Make sure all your software is up to date. Look for the device list on both units you should see all NMEA 2000 devices.

If not verify everything is connected properly into the NMEA 2000 network. Make sure all the tee’s are between the terminator ends.

Also do an Auto Configure on both units
