Took my younger kids out yesterday to troll for walleyes and we were met with a pleasant surprise for my 6 year old. Although with the lucky horseshoe that she seems to carry around, maybe I shouldn’t be surprised. Going to be hard for her to top this one.

Think about making a replica with photo attached. I did that for my son and he smiles every time we look at it together.

It was definitely healthy for this early in the season, she was 54” so now I have my work cut out for me to catch up to my daughter. Best part is my wife got it on video so we’ll get to rewatch it for years

She’s accepting applications, but has a pretty long list going in our campground already

That’s my plan, have to get momma talked into it, but I think I have a solid partner to help me convince her

Damn, what’s it like to catch a fish bigger than you are!

    Awesome to see kids happy.

Ha that’s awesome! Truly a fish of a lifetime toast

One of my six year olds caught his first musky too this weekend. Looks like he got showed up by a girl jester

(Forgive his hold in the pic, he didn’t get raked and the fish swam away with a splash lol)

Good for her. Now she is going to ask you next time you are out “why are we fishing for bait? Do you remember that big fish I caught?”

Awesome catch and great job with the hold, the fact that at 6 he’s comfortable holding a muskie on his own is impressive, it was all I could do to get her into the picture with this one.
