Plastics on spinner rigs for walleyes

What types of plastics are you using on spinner rigs for walleyes? In the past I’ve done good with twister tails but I’d like to try paddle tail swimbaits or leech type plastics. We do some remote boat in trips and taking live bait is always a pain so I’m thinking this would be a good option. I’ve tried preserved minnows with little to no success but I always like trying something new.

    Gulp crawlers.

Haven’t pulled a spinner in a while but we often used these because perch and other panfish pecked the crap out of a real night crawler. The gulp ones were way more durable and caught almost as many walleyes since it was a reactive strike anyways.

3″ or 4″ Gulp Minnow. That is what I have confidence in but I think any fluke would work.

I had someone give me a package of Uncle Josh Pork Crawler, natural, tried it once on a spinner rig and have never put a live crawler on again.

GULP! Spinner Crawlers have always worked better for me than GULP! Crawlers and if you ever pull slow death rigs, try GULP! Killer Crawlers.

Gulp Crawlers. You can pack so many more in your boat with no cooler. Can catch many fish on one bait. Dont pull off from perch or sunnies. Also I use slow death hooks so I only need a half or third of a crawler. Once you use them you wont go back.

I have not found any of the Uncle Josh crawler for three years.
Do you have source for them?
    Thanks

    pan-man,

Actually, I was given a pack for free, then after using them, I purchased a couple more packages. That was like 3 years ago, have not shopped for them since, haven’t needed to. But I did a quick search, and I see what you mean, sold out everywhere, hmmmmmmm. After all the talk about Gulp Crawlers, I was thinking of trying them just for the heck out it, not overly available either.

You dont even need the specific crawler one as long as it is brown or even close to the color.
