For anyone who has been wanting to get a Plano all weather tactical case to turn into a rod case, the 36” ones are back in stock AND on sale on Amazon. They’re $71.99. Just got mine today after being a cheap a$$ for a year or so and waiting for them to go on sale.
I use a Flambeau tactical case. It is 41×14.5×5. Has 4 plastic latches. Works great for ice rods. Usually get them for around $50.

Sounds like a great option. I was just looking for something shorter.
