Places to Stay around Sturgeon Bay

We’re supposed to head to LOW in September and we’re gambling on this next announcement for border closures, even though I’m sure it will remain closed. Our plan B is looking like the Sturgeon Bay area. I’m used to seeing resorts on MN/Canada Lakes with protected harbors but doesn’t seem to be a thing around this area. Any recommendations on where to stay if this is the route we go?

Waterfront marys is where we stay . Hotel with a bar and restaurant, located on the water with a private boat landing

It might help to say we’re you plan on fishing either Green Bay or Michigan. No wake zones can definitely make a difference in how long it takes you to get we’re you need to go.

Wave Point Marina & Resort looks to have a pretty protected harbor

I guess I should of asked what species of fish you are targeting. If you are going in September and targeting walleye I would go further north fish creek or egg harbor since the walleye tend to migrate north the later the year gets. Many hotels in those areas that would probably fit your needs if you just want to fish.

Primarily muskies and walleye. Possibly some lakers but muskies and walleye are first.
