I snooped around a little to see if there was an adaptor to put my pistol bit on my Ion head but didn’t see one, there has to be one right? For overnight trips there no sense carrying both bits if I want to take the Ion head as a spare.

I adapted and extended my K-drill 8” to my Ion power head with a universal adapter.

CRC, what holds it the drill style shaft on top of the bit? Mine has no hole in it.I have a call into Ion to see if there such a thing.

I got nothin??? Maybe Ion changed their design, maybe they had output shafts break from the hole??? I can see if someone is using a shaver bit and trying to open an old hole and catching/binding causing excessive stress leading to fracture. That is why I went with K-Drill chipper. It’s smooth as butter even opening old holes.

It’s the pistol drill I want to put on the Ion. The Ion metal drill has a hole but PB is just the shaft for the chuck. Neither my ion or this PB has ever had even the slightest problem reopens holes.

Go to kdrillauger.com and look under parts. They may have the drill to auger adapter you may be looking for.
