Does anyone have one of the Piscifun carbon X spinning reels? I don’t have any experience with Piscifun and looking for some feedback. What’s drawing me into this reel is the lightweight of it and the heavy duty drag(33lbs)plus only $65. Thinking of getting a size 2000 or 3000 for open water and if I like it might get a size 1000 for hard water Lakers.

Never used one but I know that Tom Boley uses them. He might be sponsored so grain of salt and all, but apparently he likes them

EDIT: Note that the 1000 size has a max drag of 8.8 lbs and a slower 5.2:1 retrieve and the 2000 size has a max drag of 22 lbs if that matters to you

Yep that’s how I found out about it. Just watched a video of him horse a laker out of deep water using that reel. After looking at the specs the 33lb drag is only on the size 4000. But the size 2000/3000 have 22lbs of drag! Most my reels that size have around 8lbs of drag.

I just got 2 2000’s and 1 3000. I haven’t even had the chance to fish with them yet. I’ll report back but I think a long term report would be better. And I plan on using one of them for Lakers through the ice too.

How do you like the size of the 2000? Do you think it would be fine on a 36in ice rod?
