Pinched fuel line?

Was out trolling today and my 4 stroke 50hp yami abruptly stopped. It started a few times and would immediately quit, then would not start. This spring I had a problem where the intake hose fell off, thought that was the problem-went to the gas station looked at the hose and it seemed like the tank was pushing up against the hose, gave it some room and then the primer ball started to work, so I tried to start it and it popped right off, because i was out of water I had to kill it right away. So was that the problem? Would hate to be a couple of miles out and have this problem.
    Thanks

Well if the hose was pinched then that could definitely be the problem. But only your eyes seen it. So was it actually pinched ? If the tank moves that much then shim the tank from the side or re route the hose above the tank

Sounds like you may need the whole engine rebuilt. If it was starving for gas it may die from starvation. LOL

Shim thing is a good idea, I’ve had a problem with that tank blocking the arm that turns and locks the hatch, could solve that problem too.

Ran great yesterday, fuel tank does seem to go forward in transit & push on the line, so a shim or something needs to secure that tank
