Caught my first fish with a lamprey on it and also got a 35 inch pike on a salamander.

I know there are indigenous parasitic lamprey in our region, although, that one looks pretty sizeable. Is it known if that body of water has an infestation of sea lamprey?

Because they were here before you? )

They are part of the biomass. I’m not sure if it’s legal but there are some that use them for bait on the Mississippi.

Then there was this one crazy client I had…and yes, I called him nuts to his face. )

yeah there are 3 native species in Manitoba Canada where I fish but they are very rare. Im pretty sure this was a silver lamprey.

So that wasn’t planned? I might have chalked that up as “Sushi”. BK’s Catfish Advevtures style.
