October 2, 2020 at 9:48 pm #1977002Nice! Where did you purchase? Curious if they come off asking price at all?

I bought it from larsons cycle in Cambridge. I paid asking price. There is 5 of these in mn. No one was willing to move on price. But larsons was willing to work with aftermarkets, they put on a warn winch, fist oil change, honda hoody, and honda hat. They gave no grief so I pulled the trigger. They wouldn’t budge on price but added what I asked for. Plus first oil change and 100 hour valve check.
October 2, 2020 at 10:56 pm #1977011So bearcat89, what kind of gadgets you plan on adding???
I had a 09 can am 800. Was a awesome machine. I just never rode it. It only gave me 1 issue since I bought it very lightly used in 2010. I wasn’t impressed with the new can am so I went back to honda.
I’m putting a otter monster box, tire chains, and my garmin 73 on it. Then I have itp 589s for it when summer comes and other itp rims.
I went foot shift no electric shift and it has front locking diff. I love the solid rear end and drive shaft no belts.October 2, 2020 at 10:57 pm #1977012I also bought a kfi plow but only for my drive way and kids snow piles before we get to much to push

My buddies 2020 570 has given him multiple issues, been in the shop 6 times and he has less then 700 miles on it. He does ride hard but thats what its supposed to be built for
October 3, 2020 at 6:18 am #1977025I like mine, digger auger carrier, ball mount for the 597, and the basket to hold 3 buckets with fish locator, rods and other stuff….you will like it.

Welder guyPosts: 41October 3, 2020 at 6:24 am #1977027Congratulations on the new Honda! My 09 rincon has over 14000 miles and all that’s been done to it is tires oil and a rectifier and 1 rear CV shaft. It’s not the fastest machine by any means but I get there and back!
October 3, 2020 at 6:30 am #1977028Sounds like you have a good game plan bearcat89. I don’t beat my Can Am but I don’t baby it either, enjoy it. My wife has rolled her eyes more than once where I drive mine.
Onestout, looks like yours is ready for some ice.
We also have 3 yamaha’s up at the cabin.

October 3, 2020 at 7:56 am #1977041Me, always been a Suzuki owner, never a regret. I was talking with the owner of Grantsburg Suzuki one time, I asked him what was his 2nd choice if he didn’t sell the King Quad, Honda was the reply. Great choice.
October 5, 2020 at 9:29 am #1977378Very reliable machine, you’ll love it. My buddies wife rides a 420 rancher and stays on the a$$ of my X3 with it. She isn’t riding if it isn’t bouncing the rev limiter and she has 6-7,000 miles on it with only 1 valve job and 2 pistons. Sounds like a lot, but hard riding is hard on the machines…
Left Hatfield, WI Saturday morning with 6 machines, came back with 3.5…we ride hard. The Rancher was one that made it back.

Call me next time and I will join.
Break in is done and now fun riding beginsOctober 5, 2020 at 10:27 am #1977409I miss my Honda and running thru the gears. The only problem I had was getting my heavy winter boots under the lever. Have you tried to see if your boots fit easy enough?

Ive often thought of the same problem using a manual machine for ice fishing. Otherwise i prefer manual

Take shift lever off. Move it up 2 teeth and put it back on.

October 6, 2020 at 4:37 pm #1977801Rancher or foreman? I sold both my rancher and foreman 2 years ago and replaced it with a pioneer. I miss the wheelers at times but will always have a sxs after owning one.
