Maybe it’s the non removable sheep on the back that makes their sales decline when every other brand keeps selling more and more trucks. Or it could be the big RAM on the front grill. What are you going to ram? Why?

Not sure where you get that. Their sales numbers are pretty impressive, most my chevy buddies got smart and ditched gm for those ugly sheep trucks.
I ram stuff all the time, that’s why I have a cattle pusher on the front

    I just bought a 2016 Tundra – no stickers.
    No more fords.
Tundra so far has been great. Same mileage as the FX4 which was 14 years old ( 13.5)
    Time will tell.
The only stickers are my Fish lectronics and thin blue line flag on the back window

Quick google search shows just how bad they are struggling. Also the hundreds and thousands of carry overs left on the lots at insane prices says a lot. They are the etec of trucks. It won’t be long.

Won’t be long until what? There’s still Toyota and Nissan on the list still making trucks with far lower numbers

I didn’t look at their numbers but I’d assume they aren’t riding a sinking ship like RAM.

Ford is down 10% qoq so are they going down, too? Stellantis has some issues but they have big money private equity behind them. Ram isn’t going anywhere. They could be sold off but the brand is too strong for them to fold up shop.

I didn’t believe the earlier comment but I think it’s true…walleyesforme hates Ram for some reason.

I think it all started when I was young and they had that body style forever that looked like a giant wiener. From there I’ve seen a ton of guys I work with get absolutely hosed on their supposed max care package that supposedly covers almost anything and it will but not after months of fighting with their terrible customer service. My partner at work went through 3 transmissions in 2 years and each time it took months of fighting with customer service to get anything done. Now they look a little better but they made up for that with their obnoxious stickers, noise and garbage quality.

I just had $3500 power steering unit replacement covered a couple months ago when it’s at 150k miles and 10 years old. Costed me $100 deductible. The dealer does have to get approval for something that amount but they called me day after I dropped it off and said it was approved. Never had an issue myself. If they still sold the lifetime maxcare I’d get another one for sure.

If I have to pay for repairs at some point I’m kind of leaning towards Ford now just because it sucks how rusted out my Ram body is getting even though it works great.

I think the quality issue is from past generations. I’ve had 2 Rams since 2018 without a single issue. I think they’ve cleaned up the quality tremendously.

Here are Car and Drivers top rated pickups for 2024/2025. Top 2 are Rams.

All the brands make a pretty good truck…it’s really personal preference anymore.

Car and drivers top rated trucks? Really? That’s what you go by? I suppose you take everything you see on CNN as gospel too? Numbers don’t lie.

The only RAM I’ll be doing is ramming some pulsars down some walleyes throats tomorrow on the North arm. I would never own a RAM truck but I can sympathize with the pain of being severely underpowered as my boat has a Yamaha on the back.

Put a Merc on your boat and gain 2 mph. It will get you back to the dock soooooo much quicker. You can be at the dealer for service that much sooner. doah

That 4 cylinder merc would probably be little easier on the pillow soft suspension of a RAM. Every ounce counts with how hard one of them are on the stops.

Not related to trucks but I just heard the vehicle that takes the longest to sell is the Dodge hornet. 1.5 years is avg lot time LOL. They should probably quit making those.

I think that was problem at the factory when it was made. I think someone put an extra “0” on it. Pretty sure it’s a 20 hp and not a 200.

It sounds like their trucks aren’t far behind. I just watched a documentary kind of show about that. They are really behind the 8 ball.

Since the mid 80’s I’ve owned 3 Chevy, 1 gmc and 1 Ram pick up. They’ve all done great, no major work just tires, batteries and brakes. The Ram( currently) and the gmc are heavy trucks which look great compared to a half ton if you ask me. The kid has a Rebel, yes decals and all but it’s a sweet truck, lift assist you name it. He has 43000 on it and his tires look new yet. My heavy truck with a sheep on the back, just might get another…

Better do it soon before they quit making them.
