Ok, I’m doing my 1 good deed for the year. Building this for Bullcans and he asked for good visual walleye/perch rod. I was going to wrap it in purple and gold as a joke, but feared it would have the Queens’ curse. So, since this is for a fellow IDO member, I thought I’ld see what “IDOers” would pick or lay out. Here is your components and colors. what would you do?

If it were “my” rod I would match the tip and go with a “flo orange wrap, but that is just me ..

I like everybody’s input and didn’t think about the white against the snow and ice maybe not being the best choice
I like the orange guide suggestions with the lime green tip top and would think it would look good with the lime green to accent on the hook keeper
Would this be too much of a pain by asking for 2 different wrap colors to be applied?

Definetly not looking for any of that!

February 1, 2015 at 7:58 am #1505544So far, went with the CRB HANDLE, enlarged butt cork, American Tackle A-frame stripping guide plus 1, 2 BSFG fly single foot guides and tip. tweaked spacing for a little faster tip. Should make for a good spoon/ w5 rod

BTW, I can appreciate every one of those razor blade cuts in your bench. My old wrapping base bared the same scars….There a few rods gone across your machine!!!
