Can you believe this weather today? What a perfect day to be outside and a fun day pheasant hunting! Remi and Fritz both went on some beautiful points today and each got their own pheasant. We never get tired of watching these two do their thing. They live for this and so do we.

Nice going, Sharon and crew. Those look like dandy shorthairs.

Yes a nice day that I was enjoying until my setter shows up with a bloody paw. Somehow he had cut it badly under his small dew pad. I made a makeshift bandage and tied it tight with a string. Unfortunately, the local vet was on another emergency call. Fortunately, I drove right to the local police station who helped me stop the bleeding with a first aid kit (mine was in my truck that I didn’t take,…my bad). I scooted him home the the U of Mn who took great care of him. He’s laying next to me helping me watch some football. He’s out for the season.

Nightmare! I’m glad you got him patched up, but I’m sorry he’s out for the season.

Rotton luck, captddh! Sorry to hear that. We’re one big snowstorm from being shutdown, so hopefully you got in plenty of hunting this season.
