Hello everyone,
I hope everbody had a good winter. Spring is here and I am looking for your
input on a date to do brush habitat. This will be the 4th year putting this
event on. For those who have not done this yet. The US Army Corps of
Engineers and a team of volunteers get together and install brush habitat
into the lake. Some volunteers provide there own boats to assist and other
help on the ground crew. All the trees are cut prior to the event and the
anchor blocks are donated from local concrete places. In the past the event
has placed up to 300 piles of trees in a day. New Volunteers are encourged
to participate. I am looking at May 3rd, 4th or May 11th. I am not aware
of any crappie tournaments that occur on these dates. I am planning on doing
this at the Slough Creek Bridge ramp.
This is a great event to share thoughts with other fisherman and Provide
better fishing habitat.
Let me know your input at my email at [email protected]
Thanks
Matt Beckman
