I’ve had good luck with Sawyer Permethrin spray on my clothing and backpack on camping trips. Thinking of treating my entire boat’s carpet. 16 foot tiller. The bugs are crazy so far. Bottle says it’s made for clothing, tents, and gear. Why not boat carpet?

Do you have a problem with wood ticks in the boat?
I put that stuff in 4 wheeler sprayer and spray my whole yard. Works great but dont know if it would help in the boat. Worth a shot though.

It will repel/kill other insects too but I’m guessing you want to repel flies and other flying bugs?
I guess it wouldn’t hurt but I doubt it will do much to repel fly type bugs.

I do think it helps with mosquitos personally. But normally its on my clothes so a lot closer to where they would be vs on the ground beneath me. Let us know if it works well or not!
Works great for black flies. No harm to the carpet for me.
Spraying the yard with it eliminates 100% of the misquitos for at least a few days or more depending on the rain.
This is interesting….heckuva an idea if it works.
