My buddy and I made it over to Pepin yesterday evening, Wednesday, and fished from about 4-8:30 or so. First two hours were really slow, then it picked up and made for a very nice evening! Caught most of the fish in anywhere from 8-14 FOW. #7 Firetiger Shad Rap was the hot bait, trolling around 2.8 mph. Ended up keeping 8 saugers for the freezer, all about 15-16″. Also threw back a handful of little guys and one 20″ walleye. Hope this is helpful!

Great – I’m gonna tell all my buddies – and hope they tell all their buddies – and they will tell their buddies and we will be there!!!

Christian – I assume you’re just trying to be helpful but…
I have to agree with jimmy.

Giving a report with bait and general water depth is one thing but I really don’t like to see anyone give specific details on the location. I’m guessing this weekend you’ll see more like 50 boats in that stretch of water.
It’s a big river so will it get fished out, probably not but on smaller bodies of water especially, you bet it will.

Just my opinion but I hope future posts would leave out the locations.

Thank you Christian! Please don’t take my earlier comment personally. Definitely not meant to be a slam on you by no means. There are a lot of people out there that are not willing to figure out things on their own and Want the path cleared for them )

Some people do not have the time, or are simply a couple times a year fisherman and don’t have the time and/or resources to figure it out on their own, but enjoy catching a few fish, introducing their kids to it, or taking home a few a year for the table.

Do I believe everyone should take their best knowledge and share it with the world, no. Do I think that same person is a great person for helping someone out, yes.

    Just saying…. coffee

    I hear ya Tim but…

Send the poster a PM. Most of the guys will share with you.
Personally, I’d rather see that approach than giving it out to every person that views the post. And they give it out, and they give it out, etc…

I hope you can see what happens then?

Can’t wait for this work day to end ! Good luck !
