Not only do they fit into and early breakfast sandwich, they make a better picnic sandwich and they go very well with a cold can of Hamm’s.

The shortened version is just peanut butter and onion.

Try it before you knock it…you might be surprised!

I suspect this would be analogous to White Castle Syndrome
“Trying” one (even eating a few) isn’t the problematic part of the whole process

Peanut butter goes with everything. I’d have to toast the buns first in order to get the PB nice and gooey.

Guess I’m in the non-open minded crowd. Can’t remember eating spam ever, and I think I’m ok with that. I’d try it if the opportunity came up.

That said, anything with peanut butter and onions added just sounds wrong… The combination of the three, pretty sure I couldn’t get to point of the first bite. With or without a beer to wash it away.

Thanks though… I don’t feel so bad about the crappy leftover, soggy, cold pizza lunch I just ate while stuck here working on a sunny holiday.

No one said you couldn’t have beer first. LOL!

Just have to forget about the combo and try it.

As far as spam goes…Hot Dogs have over twenty ingredients. Google it sometime if you have the stomach for it.

    Classic Spam has only 6.

    1. Chopped pork shoulder meat & Ham
    2. Salt
    3. Water
    4. Modified potato starch as a binder,
    5. Sugar
    6. Sodium nitrite as a preservative

Brian, I think you replace that raw onion with a big ol crunchy onion ring, you are going to have lines show up at your door. Num!

I think I’d like it, especially with thick sliced onion like whats in your picture. Thick sliced onions on a Spam sandwich with a glazing of something sweet and crunchy like peanut butter. A Peanut butter and onion sandwich sounds good. Put on a couple slices of tomato along with the spam and heck ya,,,a good sandwich. How about a couple pieces of thick sliced bacon ontop of the peanut butter, now that sounds good.

Chopped pork shoulder meat….sort of reminds me of the main ingredients in a hot dog: teats, toes and twats.

I’ll pass on the spam too.

The good German that I am,it’s looking better all the time. Like I tell my wife, I haven’t found a food I didn’t like.Everything sounds good about the sandwich except the Hamm’s. Is Spam still so salty?

Sorry. Still gagging. Lose the PB and I’d probably be able to stomach it. It must be an acquired taste. Or you need a lot of beer in you before you brave it.

Jerr….there were some that didn’t try another mans combination and said it would never work out.

I’m sure Mr. Reese is still laughing at that. )

At one time I turned my nose up at peanut butter and banana sandwiches, but they are awesome.

If I remember tomm morning I’ll take a pic of my PB egg spam bacon mcmuffin. Packs a protein punch that will last 3/4 day of work before needing to eat again. Or good for those all day fishing trips.
