Popped this football just off the edge of three mile while perch fishing. Had to measure it on the back of a scoop, without a tail pinch it measured 21 inches (had to have both hands on him to keep him still). I could not believe the top to bottom height on this thing. It swam away with ease when released.

Wowsers! Through the ice. That is pretty wild. We got into big smallies like that on LOW ice fishing one year. Strangest thing ever. Somewhere west of garden island on a reef. We thought we were at garden island but were off by a few miles LOL

Did it spit out any jumbo perch? 
No, but we had a jumbo spit out a partially digested fish that was 4-5 inches long, couldn’t tell what it was. They’re not just feeding on bugs out there.
That had to be fun on a light rod.Nice fish.
