Technically this is my PB, but it is also my first…open water or ice. We were up in the angle on LOTW. Let me tell you it was quite a surprise when we got the first look at it through the ice. The house was something of a “S” show for the over 30 minutes it took me to get it up the hole.

That would be fun through a ice hole. You get a measurement on it?

    45.5″
On a 1/8″ buckshot. Just one of the trebels in the very tip of his nose. I still can’t believe I got that thing even to the hole with all the runs he took. Much less actually up the hole!

The houses aren’t much to right home about lol, but we have gone there a few years in a row. I like the set up of them.

I’ve been to two other places besides Sportsman’s and they’re the same. Wheeler’s blue foam does look a little nicer though lol

Muskie season is closed so a skin mount would be illegal.

I had no idea, I never fish for them. I checked the regulations in WI as well and it is closed here too (12/31).

    No mount.
Pics and the crazy memories I think will be enough.

I am retiring the buckshot however. Will be mounted inside the picture frame.

One of the guys started a video as soon as I said “get everything up”. But I don’t think it turned out.

    Muskie season is closed

This was my first thought when I saw the picture. Congratulations on getting her through the hole. But…does it count since it was out of season? What the hell. Who cares. Nice job.

cool fish, quite the battle i bet.
the fins get more red from the increased blood flow during the fight.

Not to mention that they also have to be over 55″ to keep in MN when the season is open.

Its actually 54 inches for a pure strain.

40 inches for a tiger muskie.

    Minor details…

Wow. I did not realize the Min. size was that Long on Pure Strain. Not that I would ever have any desire to keep one of any size. I’d be really interested in knowing how many Muskie over 54″ are even landed in a year in Minnesota. My guess is not all that Many.
