PB – Accidental Crappie

    Was fishing a small club tournament for bass and set the hook on this freak of nature…17″ and weighed in at 3.06.

    Hit an electric blue paddle tail on a scrounger head in about 8 feet of water on a drop off a point of lily pads

    My pb crappie came while bass fishing also. PB wallet and Northerns too come to think of it. Lol. Nice fish!

    Nice fish! I went fishing for crappies and all I caught were bass. LOL

    Beauty! You probably won’t get one bigger unless you fish down south. Pretty rare to get one that size in the midwest…..I’d rather catch those than bass anyday!

    This will be the first fish I ever put on the wall. Trying to find something unique outside of the standard driftwood look.

    My PB came from a lake where I caught a lot of crappies around 9”
    an 11? no, 12 no. 13 no. 14 no. 15 no 16 no. 17”? YES! Weird. Caught crappies in a Canadian lake where every one was 15” plus or minus a half inch.

    Congrats on the monster! People always forget to throw big baits when fishing for crappie lol So everyone gets their pb bass fishing rotflol

    You should look into doing a glass case end table! If your looking for the best to do it hit up Jimmy Lawrence and Lawrence Taxidermy as I believe he is one of the best Panfish guys around!
