Hmmmmm. Tax the snot out of the rich, Punish someone for running a successful business…..Question… when is the last time you seen anyone poor hire someone to go to work?????

Hmm, you know how marginal tax rates work right? They aren’t going to make a rich person poor.

Fishthumper, it could be worse. You could live in an area like Chicago or California. It took my brother 7 months to get a handgun owner permit there last year.

Please define for me what your def. of poor is for me?

Take someone who makes $25,000 a year, that person pays the same amount of taxes on that money as a milionaire does on their first $25,000 earned. They are also taxed on all those goods at the same rate the rich are.

Someone who makes 25,000 a year and has enough deductions ( lets says lots of children ) will get back every tax $ that they paid. You name me 1 millionaire that has ever claimed enough deductions to get his taxes paid back
Taxed at the same rate on all other goods – Do they drive and fly as much to pay as much $ for fuel tax? Property taxes – how many of them are buying million $ homes or any home for that matter. Estate tax – Yep they are contributing a lot of that

I’m asking again, what will they do to pay these extra taxes? Use their maxed out credit cards? Their savings accounts with $0 balance?

Maybe those maxed out credit cards are why they are what you are calling poor.

Those CEOs are really stimulating the economy aren’t they! Wealth doesn’t trickle down, that’s not how it works, it’s never worked that way.

Yep those rich CEO’s are not spending any money or helping the economy in anyway. They don’t buy homes – putting construction workers to work. Not taking any vacations – keeping airline employee’s, hotel workers, restaurant workers employed. Buying cars – keeping auto workers working. Yep its just low income people out there spending all the money you say they don’t have that is keeping the economy rolling.

Maybe you should quit your job to taste that sweet, sweet $0 income tax gravy train. All aboard!!! – Yep. everyone should quit their job – not sure where the tax money will come from to fund all of the public assistance programs out there.

One last ? for you here – Do you believe that all of your so called “poor people are where they are at thru no fault of their own? is it really the ” rich peoples fault that poor people are where they are today?

I will make this my last response to you. It’s clear you will not see anything any different and I will most likely not as well. At least we live in a country where we can all have different views – For now at least

I did not even know it was possible to get a permit in those locations – Ive always heard that even god could not carry a gun in Ill. or Calf. without being arrested. I’m even surprised that they allow police officers to carry a firearm. its funny how some of the locations that have the toughest gun laws have the highest crime rates isn’t it. Yep more people carrying guns lead to more gun cromes jester Your sure don’t hear a lot about criminals walking into truck stops and pulling guns in Texas. The last time I read about that the criminal was shot by 5 different customers or employees who were legally armed

Jobs & employers are only required to live. Unless you can fund the programs without jobs you need employers.

But, there are some people who will ever understand that. No sense wasting you time trying to make them understand.

Warren Buffett says even though he and other top earners are paying higher taxes this year, he thinks he’s still paying a lower rate than his secretary.

Buffett would have no idea of what tax rate he was paying. Even if the rate was lower than his secretary – His total $ paid would he 100,000x higher if not much higher – what ever amount it is that he pays it’s still more than the total lower 40% of tax payers pay total

I will add one thing. It takes somebody to do background checks for all the handgun permits and process everything. That is my wife’s job in the county we live in and I don’t think she or anybody is going to do it for nothing.

Ironic, those who speak of others that seek entitlement seek the same thing. The thing is many can not see past themselves to better the greater good.

She or anyone else would not be doing it for free – they are already being paid a wage for their job. A wage and benefits that are paid for by the way by myself and other tax payers

Meaning taxpayers like me who don’t care if you have a cc permit? Just about every tax hits somebody who doesn’t benefit directly from that tax.
