Suggest trying the Crooked chain of lakes just north of Nevis. West Crooked has a public access on the NW side or you can pay to launch at Happy Days Resort on the SE side which also has a canoe/kayak launch to the channel between West and Middle Crooked. Great fishing on both bodies of water for Bass/Pike/Panfish. Walleyes are there, but small in numbers. Haven’t fished East Crooked, but is a very clear and deep lake. You could also check out Waboose Lake just north of the Crooked lakes. There’s a small public access on there as well.

My grandparents were on 3rd Crow for years. Lots of panfish, pike, bass and not big numbers of eyes, but the size is really good. Big Timber Resort on the middle, bigger pool of the lake, usually lets people launch. Straight out from their ramp is a hump that tops out in 10-12′ of water up from 20′ or so. There are two main “islands” of reeds on each side of this hump. All these areas hold decent numbers of fish. The shorelines around Big Timber (and most of the lake for that matter) hold good panfish certain times of the year.

Any of the Crow Wings should fit the bill. 7th would be the most intriguing bc it doesn’t have an access, you can only get on by canoe/kayak or private access. Crooked lakes have some decent fishing too. Waboose I have heard is pretty stunted.
