Patching a thermal house

Has anyone ever patched a thermal fish house, and if so, with what material? I have about a 1″-1″ hole from a mouse and I’d like to patch it in the off season. I could probably hand sew it with another person, one on the outside and the other inside.

Just get a 4 inch square or 3 inch square of canvas and glue it on with tear mender. Do both in and out side if the hole is all the way through. My old otter resort had a patch in it that lasted 3 years before I sold it. I bet it’s still on.

Yeah, I’ve used that Year Mender before. Does it stick to the thermal material or did the two pieces of canvas just stick to themselves?

    Yup,
Mice ate a hole in my Otter so I’ll give the “tear mender” a shot.

You over size the patch and stick it to the canvas both in and out.
