    Hey Trapsht –

Chris is out on the Houseboat sabbatical with James, so he hasn’t had a chance to plug in since leaving here.

Bad news is, he didn’t get his monster, but did get to experience the full flavor of everything here.

Chris still does plan on doing a full write up on everything, despite the success (or lack of) with the bear hunt. The general consensus is that if we could have squeezed out a few extra days, we would have been able to close the deal. The big boar from PL 9/15 post was shot the night he left. And the attached 300lbs sow was harvested the next night.

At any rate, I don’t want to speak for Chris, but he did end up leaving with a big smile on his face and a thir st for more…

    Thanks… Chad

PS – I also included a few pics from the trail cams we had out

It was a weird season this year. We had a lot of archery guys that also brought a gun and by then end of their hunt, most had converted to gun.
This year, we weren’t able to recover two bears to archery hits which is down slightly from prior years. One bear is too many, but it just goes to show that bears are a tough kill, even with a gun.

I’m just about catching up!! Trust me that bear hunt was a blast even though I didn’t tag one. THAT……..Was the location I had my ground blind on on the last night!! I WILL be doing a full write up on our whole experience as it was just too much fun for a little post. I will say the experience of sitting 20 yards from the bait with bears like that in the woods was something I’ve never felt before in all of my years of big game hunting. I can only imagine the excitement of having a tanker like that roll in. I WILL BE BACK!! Heck maybe next week!! LOL!! It took a tremendous place like Pasha to lure me away from Rainy Lake in September, and it DID NOT DISSAPOINT!! Chad is FIRST CLASS, and our SIDELINE fishing was STUPID GOOD!! It was the highlight of my year no doubt!! Thanks So much Chad for working so hard for us!! ANYONE looking for an unbelievable chance to shoot a tanker bear had better get in line with Chad for next year. YOU CAN BET WE’ll BE BACK, and hopefully with more time!!
