Need some inside the twin city info. Coming down for my nephews 9man football game Friday at 9:00AM played at US Bank Stadium. Coming into the cities at that time where would be the best place for parking or is there a better solution?

I work right downtown Minneapolis. Weekday parking rates could run you $20-$30. That and the timing of your arrival will put you in the middle of aggravating congestion coming into the downtown core. Myself, coming from Coon Rapids…I take a Park’n’Ride and either read the paper or post on IDO from my phone while the bus driver deals with the driving debacles. Dropped off right downtown with no parking expense. I might recommend something like that as there are many Park’n’Ride locations anywhere from the north metro if you are coming from Park Rapids.
There could be some parking that would require a very long walk if you want to save the parking expense. Or you could just deal with all of that and pay the price.
Park at 333 south 7th. Should be $16 with heated underground parking. About a 3 block walk to the stadium. There’s a coffee shop in the building, too.
Park and ride is a good option, too.
I went to the Prep Bowl last year and parked at the ramp right next to US Bank stadium and believe it was $10.
I was just there for state soccer. Parked in the fleet Farm ramp right across the street. 6 bucks.
Surprised they don’t ding you for event pricing. 6 bucks is a steal. I’ll bet it’s 40 for vikes games.

Well that might be your play then, surprised more downtown office workers aren’t all over that. Parking is at a premium weekdays downtown.
Not much help but being a guy that travels to the cities maybe twice a year the whole pay to park is crazy to me

They just dinged me $17 to park at a motel in Chicago by Midway. $153.00 all in for a $114 room (their cheapest) plus taxes & parking.
Hate this town.
I don’t think you will find much for event parking on a Friday at 9am. DT workers eat up most spots. Google “Metro Green Line.” Tons of parking options then ride the rails and get dropped off right in front of the stadium.

Check out the Green and Blue light rail lines. I live two blocks from the 50th Street station. One of my friends is usually parked in front of our house.
If you don’t like driving in the cities, you can park in Big Lake and take the North Star rail to Target Field and Light Rail from there to US Bank.
My FW works in the new Wells Fargo towers near the stadium and when she drives, she parks in either the Jerry Haaf ramp or the Fleet Farm ramp. Both are close to the staduim, have reasonable rates, and accessible via 4th Avenue.
FYI I usually park in the Haaf ramp for Vikes games as well because it’s so easy to get in and out.

I went to San Fran a few times for my old job and I remember my boss driving in from San Jose. He was excited that they found room in the ‘cheap’ lot. $35.
If the cost gets into double digits(> $10) I start to get frustrated.
