Panther 35LE

Anyone know where I might be able to find a replacement relay for a panther 35LE kicker lift? I’m up for a long weekend with a buddy from out of town and my relay went bad with the kicker in the down position. It’s not trip ending but it would be nice to have it working. Any information would help.

    Thanks

Can you swap relays and get it to go up?
You could pull one out and check auto parts stores, Radio Shack, possibly walmart. I would guess it is a 5 pin relay, so you would need a 5 pin to replace it

The relays are epoxyed into an assembly and you can’t just remove one.

Use a utility knife to cut through the silicone, then you should be able to remove them, they are common SPDT relays. I have a CMC tilt/trim that they sealed like that

If you can get a couple 5 pin auto relays with harnesses, they will work. The wires from the motor will need to be connected to pin 30 on the relays. From the battery negative to pins 87a and 85 on both relays, positive from the battery to pin 87 on both and the wire that goes to the switch(es) that isn’t blue or green. Connect the blue wire to 86 on one relay and green to 86 on the other, if up/down is backwards swap the blue and green

They want $60 for a replacement? Part 99-55022
I would definitely change that setup. You could buy https://www.ebay.com/i/272976290425?chn=ps and have a heavy duty version, solder on a few ring and spade terminals

Napa has them with and without harnesses

I actually got a replacement from Panther and it’s all working again. It was more expensive than trying to do it myself but I knew that it would work. If for some reason it goes out again, I will try to guild my own.
