I caught my new personal best tonight in my Dad’s farm pond. It was to windy to hit the river tonight so I gave the pond a try. The pic is not real good just a cell phone camera. I did get a tape on it it was 16.25 inches and very thick. Do any of you have a guess as to what it would weigh. I released her, I hope to get her again when she’s a couple inches bigger. I sure wish this wind would lay down , I need to get back on the river those big walleyes are just waiting to be caught. If you have a good idea what she would weigh I would appreciate the feed back.

Not sure on the weight, but that is a dandy. I’m jealous you have farm ponds to fall back on when the wind is nasty. Again, grat fish.

I caught a 16″ this time of year that was 2.25 lbs so I’d say somewhere between 2.25 and 2.5 lbs. Nice fish.

We registered some fish at the Hayward Crappie Tourney last weekend. Ours came in at 15 1/2 inches and weighed 1.4 pounds. The biggest was 1.70 and was right around 16″. It seems like Crappies aren’t as heavy as we think.

Jigfan, you didn’t want to be chasing walleyes last night. Your home pool was rolling 4 footers from dam to dam.

that is one nice slab no matter how much it weighed

btw, my northland ruler scale calculator says 2.2 for a 16 incher, 2.5 for 17.
