We were finally able to put a good crappie bite together on Menomin. The last few weeks have been slow for me out there. We had to keep moving to stay on fish. They aren’t thick yet like the will be in the next few weeks All fish were taken on a plain hook and slip bobber. My normal goto pink/white flu flu didn’t get bit all night. We caught around 30 fish from 4:30 to 7:30. We were able to keep 8 for the pan.

The coming few weeks should be a lot of fun out there. It’s time to get the kids in the boat. They wont get bored with the action that is on the way.

Pic 1 is me with a nice 12″ Menomin slab. Pic 2 is my buddy Paul with another 12″ slab. Pic 3 Paul is just showing off because he caught more 12″ fish than I did.

Thanks for the report Russ, those fish are on this weeks radar screen-bite should be taking off, but cooler temps as of late most likely slowed things down a bit. A nice warm day will make them pop!

The ducer is reading a lot better now that it is lower. I got one heck of a roster tail goin on now. After I get rid of that I’ll be golden. Jason suggested I plug the holes with electrical tape. I’ll be doing that after work today.

NICE FISH! All I’ve found so far this year were dinky 6-10 inch fish… I was gonna keep a couple last night but the bite shut down by the time I decided to keep any. I was gonna make fish cookies for us for a snack last night!
